The goal for this single family house on Dilido island is to utilize the geometry and orientation of the water front site to employ a variety of sustainable design features. The house is derived explicitly from specific site conditions and achieves a thorough integration into the site. The “V” shaped ground level opens up to Biscayne Bay to draw in views and prevailing winds. The irregular sawtoothed geometry on the second level allows all living spaces bay views and natural ventilation. A South facing portion of the roof houses a large bank of solar panels. All of these features are illustrated in the following slides.
